Allora’s 150 years Celebration
“COME HOME TO ALLORA”
20th-21st July 2019

In July 2019 Allora will celebrate 150 years of Local Government and the Southern Railway.

Allora & District Historical Society have organised an event to celebrate this milestone.

“COME HOME TO ALLORA”

Preliminary Programme
Are you a local or have you lived in the area?

The preliminary programme features the official opening of the restored Old Shire Hall; Re-enactment of a Bullock Team Crossing Dalrymple Creek; Lost Crafts Demonstrations; A Pioneers Dinner; Tributes to our War Heroes; A Bush Poets Breakfast; A Beard Growing Competition; with music and food throughout the weekend and of course, the Comradery of Allora’s community.

Allora’s historic buildings and museums will be open and our local organisations will showcase other assets of the district. A souvenir program and booklet will be distributed prior to and during the celebrations.

Past and present residents, individuals and groups are encouraged to participate in this celebration. Ideas can be forwarded to the president via email.
